List of Swan's High Potencies

Below is the entire content of a catalogue that was printed by Boericke & Tafel in about 1900. The identity of many of the substances offered, outside of the generally known materia medica, remains a mystery. Some indications are given. The higher potencies are "CM" (100,000), "MM" (1,000,000), "CMM" (100,000,000), "DMM" (500,000,000). They were made by a fluxion process. See Swan's Method.

I have taken the liberty to add some common names to this list. These additions are in {curly brackets}. I am indebted to Bruce Barwell, RCHom of Auckland for his help in identifying some of the unknown. — JW
